On a hot sunny afternoon captain Sayed won the most bizarre toss and to the amazement of the Pak Shaheen captain, elected to bowl.

After a successful weekend before, Sayed Snr fancies a chase.

Pak Shaheen came out, looking to be aggressive as ever, but with some very fine new ball bowling by Jack Tregonning and Daud, were restricted to 30-3 off the first 12 overs. The aggressive number 5 looked to break the shackles and did so with some effect as he launched three massive sixes to put the pressure back on Sayed and Jakeman. After a quick fire 30 odd, he snicker off and fillongley were back in it. Sayed removed Farooq, who looked clueless against the pace of Jakeman. He changed his arm against Sayed and looped a dolly to baby bear 🐻. With 20 overs to go, Pak Shaheen looked poised for an assault at 130-5, shafique and Kashif looked set. Morgan was brought on, possibly a little late in the piece but he bowled with control and used his experience. His first wicket was shafique, out for a well made 77, caught by Copson to the amazement of all watching; hit ball was over his left shoulder and he caught it over his right while turning and running in the wrong direction. Morgan struck three more times to return figures of 4-19 off 8 overs; his best spell of the year so far. BT toiled without luck at the other end and Pak Shaheen finished with 260ao from 48.1 overs.

After another splendid spread at the FCG, Carty strode our with new opening partner Copson and after seeing off the new ball and batting sensibly, both unleashed some fantastic strokes. The score raced along to 100 off 19 overs before Carty was out; a soft dismissal paddling a full toss to square leg. In form Skelding joined Copson and the scoreboard rattled along. Sam playing the guide to third man against the faster bowlers and the lap sweep against the slow stuff. Steve meanwhile, was busy depositing the ball into all the fields he could manage. He finally departed for an excellent 85 and provided the backbone to the chase. Sam scored a brisk half century before departing for 50 but by now ththe chase was effectively over. With the score on 205-3 off 34 overs, Blackmore and Jakeman completed the formality, Blackmore finally hitting some much needed form scoring a quick 34* while Jakeman 19* saw fillongley home at 262-3.

Pak Shaheen chased off the park by the storks.

Another 20 points in the bag and Fillongley look to welcome league leaders Dunlop next weekend which will no doubt be a cracker.
